ABOUT US

Bruce Holmes

A Family Tradition

Holmes Produce LLC has been a family business for 3 generations. The business was started by Ollie Holmes in 1924; his son Wendell (the oldest brother) kept the family business going after his death.

Soon after his brother, Bruce Holmes, joined the business, it quickly grew to become one of the largest wholesale produce suppliers in South Central Kansas. His motto was "Work Hard, Play Hard" - and he did so his entire life!

Bruce and his daughter, Tricia, created a summer tradition making salsa from garden fresh produce.

Tricia Holmes continued this tradition by making her salsa for family, friends, and co-workers. When the requests to replenish salsa kept flowing in, she realized the plan God had put in place for her, and accepted it graciously. She started the salsa business with just ONE salsa flavor, at a card table in her uncle’s booth at the Farmers’ Market.

Now, Holmes Made Salsa has grown to offer a product line with over 20 delectable items… from gourmet salsas, to fruit & pepper spreads, relishes, pickles, and more!  All the ole guys are gone now...  But Tricia is proud to carry out a family tradition offering the finest and freshest ingredients in all of her products across the state of Kansas!

Our products are gluten-free, with no added sugars or high-fructose corn syrup, and no artificial preservatives.

We invite you to taste the difference!

Salsa Jars

Holmes Made Salsa is still canned the old-fashioned way in our certified kitchen in Wichita. Since pepper heat is not always consistent, taste tests are performed on each batch by our team of professional chip and salsa connoisseurs (our wonderful family) to ensure quality.

We continue spreading the word about our salsa through various consumer shows, festivals, farmers markets, and by word of mouth. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share the taste of Holmes Made Salsa with everyone who loves it as much as we do!
